LUKE WATT (Australia Blues Folk) -ACCOUSTIC CONCERT


Luke Watt's songs "sneak up on you like a sucker punch" ( Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society) exhibiting a lyrical depth and thematic grit so rarely experienced in the contemporary Blues /Folk scene.
With influences such as Chris Whitley, Richard Thompson and Kelly Joe Phelps, Luke is a finger picker of great dexterity, drawing on folk melodies and blues grooves to convey stories both dark and uplifting. He has appeared at music festivals in his home country of Australia such as The National Music Muster in Gympie, The Queenscliff Music Festival, The Brunswick Music Festival, The Australian Blues Festival and The Port Fairy Folk Festival, as well as performing shows across Europe and the legendary Terra Blues Club in New York.
Luke's new album "Hill End Ruin" was named ABC National's "Album of the week" upon it's release, alongside artists such as Laura Marling, Goyte, Gillian Welch and Wilco.
